I think his mistake is the way he talks. He repeated saying “Reaching the success,….” and it makes listeners kind of boring. Also, he says that, one of the reasons of “success to fail” is “one-way street”. For me, I don’t think it’s the “one-way street”, because there are many streets and walls, so people work hard for success. It’s just not one way, I guess.
The thesis statement would be also “one-way street”. The main points would be “success is a continuous journey.”

(10) a magical marshmallow
I think what the speaker wanted to say is, the importance of patience. Training to patient from early childhood influence to when they become adult. As the result of experiment mentions, children who patient from eating marshmallows became people who go to a good university and has a good grade.
For my experience, I don’t really have the marshmallow…I’ve never thought about that. I hope it comes to me oneday……haha

(9) the web :)
I use internet most for the websites such as Facebook and Mixi, and these are my favorites. I guess they are not helpful for studying, but I can see the current news online, so it is useful using it. Seeing these websites, I can contact with my friends and can see their current news, so it makes me having deeper relationships with everyone from sharing our feelings. I also use Yahoo frequently. I check some news and e-mail on it. Today, everythings will be showed on internet, and it is becoming a essential thing which is useful of seeing the news and contacting with people for us.
(8) multitasking :)
I am so bad at using my time efficiently, so it makes me freaking out when the exam week comes. It's hard to work on many things at the same time, so it took many hours to finished up all of them. Since I've got the spare time, I do some assignments and reports in that time. Sometimes I had to wake up all night working on tasks though. I like the way that George suggested. We can do a final report in that time, so I can focus on other stuffs in another time and it is very helpful. I always get confused if I have tons of stuffs to do, so I want to work on each one deliberately, this time. :)
(7) short films:)
I watched the film; no.1 "new boy", and I thougt that was a heavy story. It was very interesting because it compared his current school life in Ireland and his home country's school life. A main boy seems like he had a fun time with his friends and a teacher in his home country, but in the school in Ireland, he seems sad and feels lonely all the time. Because of his looks (being as a black person), other students probably felt something strange to have a person who is very different from them, in their class. People sometimes discriminate other people if they look different. However, in this film, a main boy and a boy who teased a main boy, got along with each other. It shows that the people sometimes do discrimination (especially children) at the beginning, but eventually it does'nt matter. All People are same humans. This film tells us that the meaningless(?) of the discriminaiton, I thought.

(6) mobile communication etiquette
1...
I think the acceptable behavior in public places of using a cellphone is not to talk in there. I think just texting is okay, because that doesn't bother people. Although, years ago, I've heard that the only radio wave can cause(hurt) ill people who use some kind of machine for their heart. From this news, I was careful about using a phone in public places especially in the train at that time, but I don't know why......I do not care about it anymore, maybe I don't believe it anymore.
People's opinion changes depends on their ages and generations, I think. Elderly people might feels uncomfortable to use cellphones in public places, because they are not accustomed to using it. It might shows very rude for elderly people. However, recent young people quite use cellphones stately because it became as the normal thing to do. From this reason, I think people's opinions are different depends on their ages or generations.

(5) the country I want to visit
As I mentioed "the place I want to go" in the last week's post, I have many countries that I want to visit. I like seeing and learning old and traditional buildings/histories, so I rather want to go to Europe than United States or Canada. Especially the places that I am interested in are Olanda and Belgie. Both of them have many traditional buildings, so when I see their pitures, those makes me really crazily excited.
I can't really choose one specific country that i want to go because I seriously want to visit everywhere in Europe, but if I decide just one....., it will be France. France has some World Heritage Sites and is a beautiful country. I want to visit especially Versailles in France. There is a comic-book called "the Rose of Versailles- Versailles no Bara-" and this comic-book's story is based on the true history in France (like about Marie-Antoinette). Since I've read this story, I really bacame wanted to visit there including "the Versailles Palace".
I think, I want to go the place which is unusual, rare and not the famous place that many people might have already visited. I like taking pictures, so I want to take many great pictures when I go there, someday:)

(4) TVs and movies
I often get influenced by medias such as TVs and movies, so I don't know what to write about here..
I am interested in old buildings in Europe and nature in other countries like in Switzerland since I was junior high school. When I watched the TV about Europe, I just felt something like I really want to go to Europe someday.Since that day, I often reserch by magazines and books about Europe like England, France, Spain, Belgium, Turco, Greece, Italy, Rumania and almost everywhere in Europe. I have never been to Europe before, so I want to go to there, someday.

(2) version 2
Japanese people are more shy and private compared to western people, so there are some Japanese people who cannnot have their own opinions. I mean people who have the mind of "stereo type". "Stereo type" person sometimes don't have their options in their mind. Like the restaurant guy of the video that we watched. He had only one option and which was "we don't have sugar." He might thought that was the only one answer of it. Maybe Japanese people like to make the rules? Is that because Japanese people are distinguished among their status from long time ago? That is why students have the strick blocks between seniors and juniors. Grade 12 students are more likely to bahave haughtily than grade 11 studennts. If the senior orderd something to junior, junior will obey it, because they think the words that senior said are the only right thing. Like this, Japanese people sometimes don't have options in their mind compared to western people.

(1) my goal

when i stayed in the dorms of high school, i shared the room with students
from korea, thai and china. so im interested in their native languages and
want to study them. actually, my japanese-partner is from korea, so he
teaches me korean sometimes and now, i know lots of bad words! i mean swear
words.haha but i think it's good, cause starting from the things im interested
in makes me feel like....i realy want to learn korean more and more.:)

communicating with native people and sharing our feelings( probably can get more
deeper relationship b/w us..), is the shortest way to achieve my dream. ill

(2) unique invisible beliefs in Japan
YES!! I can publish post from my pc :) I don't know why I couldn't do it from school's one.
I think Japanese people are more private and shy compared to foreign people. That cultural things make Japanese people, not to say or argue sharply when they face to an inconvenient moment. They choose an each word very carefully not to make their opponent tendered. I mean Japanese people are too much worrying about other people's eyes. For example, some people can not say 'No' even though they don't want to. Why? I think that's because they worry about their opponent's feeling. Japanese people are tend to think other people's thinking, more than themselve's, I guss. Like this way, they sometimes insinuate instead of saying the truth clearly. Therefore, visitors or exchange students to Japan may need to know that sometimes Japanese people are not telling them the 100 percent truth. For the foreign people who especially like to tell the truth, will might be hard to understand the way Japanese people do.
